I think we can all say these are very good hockey players but what makes them stand out for the future?
The Ten.
Jack Hughes: Last season Hughes missed some time but that time lost was made up for as he exploded into a point-per-game player. The dominance should continue in 22-23 as the Devils made some splashes this offseason.
Moritz Seider: Seider is the reigning rookie of the year and he has proven to show veteran traits in only his first year. Seider is on a pretty up-and-coming Detroit team so while he may not produce much, he will surely mold into a top NHL defenseman.
Tim Stutzle: The german forward now gets to play with Alex Debrincat and Claude Giroux. I don't think it takes much thought that this already breaking-out player could get better with the talent around him.
Trevor Zegras: The most marketable player in the league is poised for another season full of flashy highlights and fun hockey.
Spencer Knight. The Sunshine States young goalie will become the starter between the pipes as he got PAID this offseason.
Alex Lafreniere: Laf is in his third season as a Ranger and is set to take the next step to prove that the Rangers made the correct choice in selecting him first overall in 2020. After a strong playoff performance, Lafreniere is a true breakout candidate.
Cole Caufield: Cole is playing under a new head coach who was a similar player to himself which could help him establish his game.
Seth Jarvis: The Hurricanes are a top contender in the NHL and this young talented player should have no problem establishing himself among the elite.
Evan Bouchard: Throughout the season Bouchard has a chance to pair with Darnell Nurse getting top minutes. Hell also see a lot of ice time with the Oiler's best forwards in Leon Draisaitl and the leagues best player Connor McDavid.
Vasily Podkolzin- Vasily was an efficient scorer last year for the Canucks and this year should be no different, the roster is finally healthy and ready to go.
